Mr. Kirunda was born in 1979 in Iganga town, Eastern Uganda. He went to Iganga Town Council Primary School and Nkumba Primary School (Entebbe). He started his Secondary School at King's College Budo and finished it at the United World College-USA. He did his undergraduate studies  at Lafayette College, Pennsylvania and his Master of Science in Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. After working for 7 years in USA, he now works with Tullow Oil in Uganda.
